REQUEST A QUOTE- $935.00
This collection takes inspiration from sombrero vueltiaos—traditional Colombian hats—which have for many generations been made by the Zenú people in the northern reaches of the country. Working together with master artisans from the small town of Tuchin, we have ‘reimagined’ this weaving tradition into new forms.
The poufs are made from caña flecha—an indigenous local palm fiber—which is dyed using color extracted from local leaves and plants. Long thin strips of the fiber are finely braided together into strands which are then sewn into a series of concentric circles.
We’ve designed the poufs to have complementary but contrasting patterning on top and bottom. Pairs can be positioned as identical matches – or one with one side up, and the other with the other side up.
Leadtime 1-2 weeks.
